“Crucify Him! CRUCIFY HIM!” the cry of the angry crowd echoes through history.
And yet, in that moment of hatred and violence, we see the depth of God’s love.
What a cost. What a mercy. We stand forgiven at the foot of the cross.
On Good Friday, we remember Jesus’ suffering and sacrificial death for our sins. “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3), “wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him” (Isaiah 53:5).
As we gaze upon the cross, we are reminded: “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
Join us at 1:00 pm or 6:30 pm to experience the raw power, sorrow, and hope of Good Friday through worship and reflection.
Come and stand in awe of the Lamb who was slain so that we might have life. “Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering… and by His wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4–5).
